Therapy

  • I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and their ethical framework sits at the heart of how I work.

My practice is harnessed by a humanist, person-centred approach and led by you.  I have trained in integrative modalities and my work includes some CBT, occasionally the use of coaching tools and increasingly utilising breath work if required to support you looking more deeply at yourself, navigating life and being able to thrive into a more grounded future.

There are all sorts of reasons people seek out therapy.  I am offering an ethical, professional, and safe space to examine behaviours, symptoms and specific experiences – As I mentioned, I am led by you and you can bring anything that is important for you.  There may be immediate issues you need help with and we may move into deeper areas as we go.

Areas that you might want to share with me - dealing with stress, anxiety, anger, low mood, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, Neurodiversity, ADHD, self-esteem, dealing with bias in the workplace or just want to get to understand yourself with more clarity and make a commitment to enter a new era.

I am registered with the Psychotherapy (BACP) and their ethical framework sits at the heart of how I work.

I am based between London, Canterbury, and Deal.  Currently most of my one-to-one work is remote, but that will keep evolving.  I can work with clients across the UK and around the world via FaceTime, Whats app, Zoom or Google meet.  If the phone is best for you, that is okay too.

    Session length:

Sessions are 50 minutes and are usually held at the same time each week.

If you‘d like to book a first meeting with me.  (An assessment)  It will help us both get a sense if we can work together and if you’d like to move forward.  We will then agree a contract including the number of sessions and payment details.  This can be reviewed as we go.

    Fees - £65 per session

I hold a few sessions with concessionary rates for those with limited incomes. You can call me to discuss.

  • I have worked in the TV industry for over 30 years and held senior executive and commissioning editor positions at independent production companies and all the key broadcasters producing hours of TV.  Most recently, I am fusing my therapeutic training with my frontline TV experience working with talent and contributors across all the genres to work in the TV welfare space - as a welfare executive, cast liaison support and requested counsellor for those across the varied roles within production who might be needing therapeutic support, maybe coaching and most importantly a professional ear. Since the Ofcom code came in into practice, I have worked on key series to make sure contributors and talent are supported through every stage of production and find the experience something to be enjoyed whilst they navigate the spotlight and crucially what come next.

  • Individuals can deal with issues like overwhelm, burn out, emergent neurodiversity, family stresses, diversity, anxiety, imposter syndrome and triggers brought on by many circumstances - all impacting on their ability to navigate the work environment and feel good about their contribution.

I can be hired by companies, production teams, agents to work with individuals and talent that would benefit from confidential counselling and coaching to nurture and support them - providing a safe space for them to be heard and walk alongside them on their journey.
